She continued to work with Dr. Hickson until she graduated from University.

Dr.Haaranen attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and became a Doctor of Chiropractic in May 1994.

Her career as a chiropractor began in Calgary in 1994 as the clinic director at Monterey Park Chiropractic Clinic

In 2004, she was invited to join the Hidden Valley Chiropractic Clinic. It was a part time associate practice however the hours were perfect for their family life. They welcome their 3rd daughter Eva, in May 2007 and Dr. Haaranen returned to full time practice.

"Practicing chiropractic has been such a blessing. Everyday, I get to participate in the healing process and assist patients in experiencing the benefits of chiropractic. I still get excited about explaining how chiropractic works and watching people get well! Chiropractic is about educating people that health comes from within. It involves not only they physical aspect of our being, but mental and spiritual as well; it includes nutrition, exercise, positive mental attitude and of course the chiropractic adjustment to facilitate the flow of life energy through the body! This is what chiropractic means to me and I look forward to many more years of practicing in a profession that chose me!?"
