Geoff Koenig
Physiotherapist
Born and raised in Calgary, Geoff completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2013 from Mount Royal University and worked as a Behavioral Therapist with children and young adults with developmental disorders for the next 5 years. He quickly saw the benefits of physical activity for his clients as he incorporated recreation and exercise therapy into clients’ programming, which led him to complete his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2020.
Personally, athletics and movement have always been a cornerstone of his life, starting with hockey at the young age of five, which he played right up into his mid-20s. He was also involved in lacrosse, football, and Muay Thai kickboxing in his youth and now enjoys snowboarding, golf, and carpentry in his spare time. A personal shoulder injury has fueled his drive to become a physiotherapist and develop a niche in shoulder rehabilitation. No matter the injury, Geoff has taken a keen interest in helping people understand how their body moves while building strength, mobility, and control to help empower individuals no matter their injury or chosen activities.
Geoff has continued his education with advanced courses including Biomedical Dry Needling (IMS), shoulder evaluation and treatment, and numerous soft-tissue treatment and mobilization courses to help him provide clients with exceptional care. Above all, Geoff believes that client education and developing strong working relationships with his clients is the key to effective therapy, and he looks forward to using his clinical expertise to help people get back to movement and live life to the fullest.
